Subject Eric Pickles MP –ACA- claims for Repairs/insurance/security. |
|
I have spoken to Mr Pickles about his claims for repairs, insurance and security and explained the reasons behind your letter of 20 December 2006.
Mr Pickles accepted these reasons and explained how he had originally asked the Fees Office how he should show these costs, on his claims, and has followed that advise ever since. He was concerned that he was being criticised for is actions. I confirmed that this was not the case.
I explained that some months there can be 2, 3 or 5 separate items under this heading and we do not know which of these costs relate to which expense type. Mr Pickles has agreed, in future, to provide this extra detail. He will annotate each with an R, I or S.
Mr Pickles confirmed that insurance claims never included costs relating to anything other than household insurance. Pickles, will, provide receipts and invoice for any individual costs that exceed £250.00
Mr Pickles is happy with this agreement.
